Pick up a free Discovery Map when you get to town...
These maps are really helpful when you first arrive in Flagstaff (and even after that too!) They are hand drawn, very colorful, and have all kinds of information on where to eat, stay, shop and what to do. It shows you easily how to get around by using landmarks (I get confused sometimes with grid maps). You can pick one up at a number of shops, restaurants & hotels, at the attractions and of course at the downtown visitor center located at the Train Station.

Racha Thai is gone...
But in it's place is a Vietnamese Restaurant (Pho something? - I have to find out the name!). We ate there the other night, and had great soup and an authentic noodle dish. If you like Vietnamese food - give it a try! Very inexpensive. No liquor license.

Josephine's Modern American Bistro
I love going to Josephine's for a number of reasons - great food at a reasonable price for a nice dinner, great wine list, great service and it's got the perfect ambience for a romantic dinner if that's what you're going for. I've also attended group dinners there, and it's worked very well for that too. My husband loves the Pork Loin, cider brined, mmmm - delicious! I get different things when I go there, but the Tequila Lime half chicken is always a favorite. I'm telling you - on a cold winter night, sitting by the fire with a glass of fine wine - you can't really beat it.

New Jersey - great pizza, need to work on their service.
I think they have great food, but honestly, their service! If they work on getting it more consistent, I might go back.

Vertical Relief - a lot of fun.
I love this place, and though I'm not an expert mountain climber or anything - it's fun to practice your moves. The staff is really friendly and knowledgable. We did an office bonding trip here once, and everyone got up on the wall and really enjoyed it. Great for kids too.

I recommend the calzones here
Strombolli’s is the first restaurant I ever ate at in Flagstaff. That was about two and a half years ago and we’ve been back dozens of times since. While it’s good enough to keep me coming back, I rarely leave 100% satisfied.

Cheapest Gas In Flagstaff
the cheapest gas in flag is located on rte 66 at the fry's grocery store gas station east of downtown. (no i don't own it or anything. just gas up there.)
if you don't want to go all the way over there and are just on the highway, drive up a few blocks on milton passed the target and wells fargo. there is a conoco and varsity gas that are your best bet for a "decent" price, relatively speaking of course.- 0 people found this review helpful

This really is THE best pizza (local products & organic food too!)
I just discovered New Jersey Pizza company this week. I'd heard it was out of business but that's NOT true... so VERY GLAD!
I have to say, I love Fratelli's... but now that I've eaten at NJ, Fratelli's is number two on my Flag favorites list for pizza. Fratelli's has better service BY FAR. But NJ uses locally grown vegetables, organic ingredients, AND makes their own mozzerella cheese. That really impressed me. Plus it's really really good tasting. Lots of sauce and cheese. Crispy thin crust. (Note: NOT New York style with huge pieces and soft thin crust.)
There's no a/c... so not your best stop on a hot day. otherwise... definitely worth a try!

Decent Chicago style deep dish for non-Chicagoans
Can good food be found inside a gas station? Most definitely. I’ve eaten at several good eateries in my day located in the most unlikely of places. But I was still a little leery of ordering Chicago-style pizza from Scott’s Chicago Pizza. First, it is in a gas station. And of all the foods I’ve had and enjoyed at gas station restaurants, pizza had never been one of them. Second, this is Chicago-style pizza we’re talking about. Having lived in Chi-town I know my way around some of the best pizza joints in the world. So my expectations are always low to find a decent Windy City pie outside the Windy City. Still, I’d gotten a recommendation to try it, so I loaded the family in the car at set forth for the far west side of town hoping for the best.

Our Favorite Mexican Food in Flagstaff!!!
My husband and I have lived in Flagstaff for fifteen years and our favorite choice for dinner is Mexican food, so I definately rate ourselves as having experienced palettes for this type of cuisine. We've tried all the restaurants in Flagstaff several times over and El Capital Fresh Mexican Grill has become our favorite place.
We love their salsa bar with a variety of salsas made fresh every day. There are so many delicious tasting items on the menu that we love with great daily specials, like the tacos & beer, all at reasonable prices. The red sauce on their enchiladas is the best in town...hands down!!!
The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is always friendly. They've got a treasure chest filled with kid's toys and it's just a very family-friendly restaurant.
I think anyone REALLY knows good Mexican food when they taste it should try this place if they haven't already. You'll definately go back for more. San Felipe and El Charro's Mexican food don't have anything on El Capitan in my opinion.
