   Locals Are Talkin'

   The locals are talkin' about the Javelina Cantina. I just ran into JB at Sam's Club in Flagstaff yesterday. He says Javelina Cantina is the best Mexican for miles around. "My father was a chef, so I am PICKY," admitted the owner of DataSoft Computers in Flagstaff.

   Javelina Cantina is where I am headed the next time I'm in Sedona.

   Great Mexican Food!

   The best Mexican food I’ve had in Arizona… that about sums up Sedona’s Javelina Cantina in one sentence. Located south of the “Y” on Highway 179 in the upscale Hillside Shopping Center, this restaurant is welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. The décor is modern southwest with stone and metal used heavily throughout. It really reflects the city’s chic artsy atmosphere. Large windows let patrons enjoy the famous Sedona scenery without the heat. But the best spot to sit is on the patio, which features a relaxing red rock waterfall and a great view of the city.

   Make sure you go there hungry!

   I have to say the portions are huge and the food is great. This is one of our favorite afterwork places to get together. We usually sit at the tables in the bar, as we can never agree on a time...so we all straggle in order our margaritas and those that want to grab a bit do. The staff is very accommodating to our single orders. I recommend the cadilac margartias and the chicken enchiladas!
