Great Free Museum
Arizona State University has a collection of free museums on campus, but the ASU Art Museum is the largest and the easiest to find. It is intended to be an interactive museum, which means they have a rotation of artists in residence throughout the year and they try to house exhibitions that are thought provoking and involving. You never know what you're going to see there (or how you'll react to it) and that's the beauty of the museum. Parking can be tricky on campus, but there are metered spaces just outside the museum and you can park north of the museum in front of the Ceramics Research Center (also a part of the art museum). Just be sure to register your license plate at the front desk.
