  1. That's Amore Gelato & Coffee: Authentic Italian treats!

We visited the new location for That's Amore. I believe this is their 2nd location to open. This one is located in a great spot off of Hayden Rd right by the greenbelt (bike/walking path) and by the pond. So if you sit outside, you can enjoy some people watching and a nice view of the pond, ducks, and Camelback. I brought my 2 kids in, who had never had gelato before. They were able to try a few out before selecting their "cookie" flavor of course. I would have preferred something a little more decadent, but they are kids afterall. I treated myself to a white chocolate mocha. We are definitely not talking Starbucks here (which I do love), but this latte brought back fond memories of the real thing in Italy! The foam was so thick, you could stand a stirrer straight up! The coffee was excellent! I can't wait to go for a bike ride with the family and make a stop here for a well deserved treat again!"

  2. Parmigiano Italian Bistro: Upscale Italian Food!

Four of us went to Parmigiano Italian Bistro last night for dinner. We were immediately served a warm cheese bread with marinara sauce (complimentary). It was outstanding! We asked for more! We then ordered a Mozzarella salad to start. The mozzarella was very fresh and excellent! The tomatos served with the mozzarella were good as well - not tough. Each of us ordered different entrees. We had Chicken picata, Chicken Parm, Filet of Sole, and Pasta with clams in a white sauce. The dishes had fancier names than that, but I can't recall what they were. The portions were not overwhelming. They were just the right size, although the side of pasta served with the entree could be a bit bigger. We got about 8-9 pieces of penne with our entree. Not much. But the quality of the food was outstanding! We moved on to dessert. We had tiramisu that is made fresh on the premises. It was the best tiramisu we have had in years! You have to try it. The owner than served us complimentary amaretto at the end of the meal which was a very nice way to end our dinner. We found the service to be excellent and the atmosphere was very cozy. I would have to say this is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while.

  4. The Blue Agave: Friday night dinner

This was our first time to the Blue Agave Mexican Cantina. We liked the bar atmosphere which was pretty busy during happy hour. The restaurant was very casual but had a nice feel to it. The service was very good. My husband had a burrito that he enjoyed very much. I had a chicken chimichanga that had a little too much of the refried beans in it and not enough chicken. The chicken that was in it, was very good. Overall, a good experience and we would go back.

  5. Beaver Street Brewery: Beaver Street Brewery

We always make a stop for dinner at the Beaver Street Brewery after a day of sledding or skiing in Flagstaff. We love the atmosphere and the great service. The burgers are huge and delicious! It's a great place to bring kids too because it is usually busy with a lot of activity.

  6. Oaxaca Restaurant & Rooftop Cantina: Oaxaca Restaurant

Would highly recommend requesting the outside seating area. You have a fantastic view of Sedona's main street and Snoopy Rock. I always enjoy the Huevos Rancheros for lunch. I prefer to eat lunch here versus dinner because we always enjoy the view so much.

  7. Organ Stop Pizza: Saturday evening at Organ Stop

My husband and I and our 2 kids went to Organ Stop Pizza after a long day of hiking in the Superstitions. It was much bigger inside than I had imagined. There was plenty of seating even during the busiest dinner hours. We had pizza, salad bar and ice cream sundaes. The kids really enjoyed the pizza, it was not gourmet pizza quality but it hit the spot! The salad bar was actually a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a sparse selection especially since the price was so reasonable, but it was a very good salad bar. Everything was fresh and there was a good selection of items to choose from. I was only sorry that I didn't order the larger salad plate portion. The small plate was too small for such a good salad bar. The music was certainly the main attraction. I don't know why it is called just Organ Stop, it should be called Symphony Stop. There is so much more involved in the music than just an organ. It was amazing! The music was great, there were all kinds of lighting effects and different instruments. We all had an excellent time. I would definitely return to Organ Stop Pizza.
