Conger Street Clock Museum: What's Tickin'
This is truly an amazing place, and you could while away quite a bit of time (sorry) perusing the incredible collections. Clock stores are just plain fun, anyway, because clockmakers get very creative. But Conger Street tops any clock store I've seen because of its incredible museum. Very much worth a visit, and there is absolutely no pressure to buy in this store - they truly want to share their museum, and it is special.

Sam's Place: Great Sports Bar
We've watched several away Duck games at Sam's and it is a great environment. Cozy, not cavernous, but it holds a lot of fans. Screens in every booth and large screens throughout. Great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere.

Café Soriah: Cafe Soriah Consistently Tasty
It was early April, so the summer foliage hadn't grown in yet, but the back terrace at Cafe Soriah was still sunny and warm and the food was great. With a variety of wonderful dishes on the regular menu, Cafe Soriah always has unique specials and their breads are baked fresh daily. I took out of town guests and we had a wonderful meal. I enjoyed lamb with a mango, apple, raisin curry. Others in the group savored salmon.

Pre's Trail: Pre's Trail
Pre's Trail has a solid drainage base with a nice topping of bark. Four miles of trail are in Eugene with another mile or so in Springfield's East Gate Woodlands. The trail is adjacent to a 12 mile asphalt bike path that also makes for great running, with five pedestrian bridges over the Willamette. An endless combination of loops and distances can meet any runner's needs. Park in Alton Baker Park, or at the Campbell Senior Center, or at the Valley River Center. Interpretive signs with trail maps are on either end of each of the bridges as well as in Alton Baker Park. A variety of runs take place in the park. See Goodrace.com or EclecticEdgeRacing.com.

Schnitzer Museum of Art: Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art
This is a fantastic art museum, right in the heart of the UO campus. It's collection is largely historic Asian art, an incredible gift from patron Gertrude Warner who collected with her husband over several decades. There are also changing exhibits, with something for everyone. The building itself is a gem, and the gift shop is fantastic. There is a Cafe Marche on site that does not require museum entry.

UO Museum of Natural and Cultural History: MUNCH
This is a great stop on the beautiful UO campus, just a block from Hayward Field. The entry fee is nominal, and the displays are great, focused on history, biology, geology, etc...natural and cultural history!! The MUNCH also has a fantastic gift shop.

Cascades Raptor Center: Raptor Rapture
Cascades Raptor Center is a great outdoor stop. It's a short drive, but out in the country, next to Eugene's great Ridgeline Trail (12 mile long hiking trail with several jumping on/off points). The Raptor Center rehabilitates birds, but some cannot be re-introduced and these become permanent residents in huge outdoor cages that provide an up-close inspection opportunity. Great variety, wonderful ambiance. Very casual, and also an obviously caring place. Really great for families.

Oregon Electric Station: OES
This restaurant has outstanding customer service. It is an interesting atmosphere, made partly of old railroad cars and partly of large, private booths. The food is good, and staff is fantastic.

Café Yumm!: Yumm
I ALWAYS order the Yumm Deluxe. It includes avacados, sour cream, etc. and tastes great.
