  1. Fournos Restaurant: So good....We Ate There AGAIN!

Recently went back for another meal at Fournos... And it was even better! We started with the same warm bread and parmesan pesto dipping sauce... But there were many specials and new menu items. I had the garlic cognac mushrooms &my friend started with an appetizer specials of mussels. We were both groaning! Entrees I had the fresh farfalle pasta with meatballs. OMG! Chef Ivan Flowers out did himself with this one! My friend ate a chile chocolate beef brisket special. We shared a wonderful Grenache and a tiramisu (home made of course!) Next time we go back,we are doing the tasting menus!!!

  2. Oregano's Pizza Bistro (Free Range Productions, Inc.): Yes it is a chain, but a darn good one!

Great food. Fun atmosphere. Try the thin crust pizza and killer salads. Word to the wise... Long waits weekend evenings so be prepared.

  3. Tiffany Tree Lounge at The Little America Hotel: Great views and very relaxed

Huge windows overlook the beautiful pine covered grounds. Named after huge tree with stained glass leaves that sits in the middle of the bar. Get a table by the window, order some appetizers and a nice bottle of wine and simply relax. Service is always friendly and ffod is simple but good. Love the Rueben! During Holiday season enjoy all the lights.

  4. Little America Hotel: Beautiful in the winter!

I stayed here a month ago in a forest view room... The room was okay, but the grounds are very nice. I also, very much liked the lounge. If you are planning to stay or visit Flagstaff during the winter months, this is a very beautiful property... Snow covered pines, large fireplace in lobby, rustic bar with windows that look out over the grounds. Best time is during holiday season. A million lights on all the trees! Even Grinch would be moved!

  5. Jackson's Grill: Caution! This place has changed!

A few years ago, I used to dine at Jackson's Grill with my parents. We considered it our special occasion restuarant... So, just a month ago went there for dinner on my wedding night and was I shocked to see it now! It went from a white tablecloth, superior food & wine establishment to a sports bar! We were sat in a corner and ignored. My salad was BROWN with rust and my husband's ahi was inedible. Our main courses wern't any better... Dry, pork and a so-so pizza. Appetizer plates stayed on table during ENTIRE dinner. Felt so bad after raving about this place to my husband... We are now making reservations for our month anniversary to have a "make-up" wedding dinner. Very sad to see this happen to what was once such a great place to eat.

  6. Fournos Restaurant: Delicious Food In Sedona!

Had the pleasure of dining here a couple of weeks ago... New owner Chef Ivan Flowers prepares simply delicious food. The menu is a blend of Mediterranean, italian with a little American thrown in... Casual, intimate space and great little wine list. We had the lobster bisque, hand-pulled fresh mozarella (OMG!!), osso bucco and Mahi Mahi. All just over the top good. Drank a nice cabernet and service was friendly and personal. Chef even came by the table... Started with warm bread and a REALLY good dipping sauce... Cash and checks only, so visit the atm first.
